Six dacoits Strike as many times

VEHARI, Feb 11: Six dacoits on Sunday night made off with cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees in as many strikes in and around Mailsi.

Reports revealed the dacoits barged into Muhammad Siddiq Dogar’s house in Lal Shah area, held up the inmates and took away Rs200,000 in cash and jewellery and valuables worth Rs100,000.

The gang also looted cash and jewellery worth Rs90,000 from local farmer Nazir Ahmad Jutt’s house in the same locality. They beat the inmates on resistance before fleeing.

The same gang, minutes later, targeted Syed Moinuddin Shah’s house in Qutabpur area and took away Rs27,000 in cash and valuables worth Rs30,000 at gunpoint.

Meanwhile, the dacoits escaped with hundreds of thousands of rupees from the Ittefaq Bakers in the same locality.

They also deprived public call office (PCO) owner Rao Khalid of Rs20,000 at his office.

In Abdul Sattar Kamboh’s house in Mehar Shah locality, they decamped with Rs40,000 in cash and half a dozen sacrificial animals worth around Rs100,000.

Police are investigating.
