Police fail to trace decoits

By Our Correspondent

SANGHAR, Feb 9: The police and villagers failed to trace the dacoits who had attacked three villages on Thursday night on the Jhol-Tando Adam road.

They went after the dacoits but lost the trace near Khahi.

The police have impounded an ambulance of the Habibullah Welfare Trust which was allegedly used in transporting the dacoits.

The 7-member gang of dacoits allegedly led by Mumtaz Mari and Adam Rind alias Nandho Sher had attacked the village Bachayo Rind and tortured a villager, Gorkhio Bheel, and also handed over letters of ransom for 25 landlords of the area and demanded millions of rupees.

The dacoits also fired on the electric transformer and the transmission cables.
