RAWALPINDI, Feb 9: District Nazim Rawalpindi Raja Tariq Kiyani has warned to seal those petrol pumps involved in adulteration.

He directed the district administration to conduct raids, check the quality of petrol and seal Petrol-Pumps involve in adulteration.

Kiani issued these directives in a meeting held here Friday to review the performance of various departments of the district government.

Tariq Kiyani directed the authorities to take stern action against those who were involved in adulteration and selling sub-standard oils, petrol and diesel.

He also issued a directive against the stallholders in Sunday Bazaars involved in selling sub-standard edibles and warned that their stalls would be sealed.

It may be mentioned that city traders had been opposing installation of weekly bazars since long.

Kiani said that in order to provide better health facilities in all the district hospitals, committees for the welfare of patients would be re-organized.

He said that cultural programs would be presented in Rawalpindi and Murree Arts Councils for the entertainment and enjoyment of general public. Directives have been issued to DO Arts Council in this regard.

He said that games are necessary for healthy society and in order to provide better opportunities to youth, sports events would be regularly held in all schools and colleges of the district.—PPI
