Faisalabad fight back

KARACHI, Feb 8: Zahoor Elahi spearheaded a splendid Faisalabad fight back on the second day of the Quaid Trophy Grade-I match against Bahawalpur at Bahawalpur Stadium Friday.

According to details available here, the former Test star first claimed a career-best four for 45 as Bahawalpur were restricted to 264 in their first innings in reply to Faisalabad’s 204.

Zahoor, who hit 57 in the first innings, then stroked an unbeaten 54 as Faisalabad reached 92 without in their second knock.

Bahawalpur’s 21-year-old left-handed opener Hammad Tariq also had a memorable day as he made a career-best 138, his third first-class century.
