Rs250,000 given for medicines

DADU, Feb 8: The health department, Dadu, has provided Rs250,000 from Zakat fund for purchasing the medicines of a skin disease cutaneous leishmaniasis to be provided in the villages of Johi, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Mehar and Sehwan talukas.

This was said by the Sindh secretary of Auqaf, Zakat and Ushr, Fasihuddin Khan, while talking to the patients of the skin disease and delegations of the citizens during his visit of the taluka hospital, Johi, on Friday.

He assured that if needed more money would be provided from Zakat fund to control the skin disease in the far-flung areas of the district.

The EDO health told the secretary Auqaf that BHP company had provided 1,000 antimony injections, 48,000 tablets and 1,000 bottles of syrups.

Later the secretary visited the Basic Health Centre, Bhan Saeedabad, and met some patients of the skin disease, who were brought there from several villages of Johi taluka for the treatment.

SHRINE: The construction work of the shrine of Sufi saint Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz including drainage system and courtyard should be completed in the stipulated period.

This was said by the Sindh secretary, Auqaf, Ushr and Zakat, Fasihuddin Khan, while talking at a meeting of the officials of his department in Sehwan on Friday.
