CDA in last eight

By Our Sports Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Feb 4: CDA booked their berth in the quarter- finals of the Islamabad District soccer league edging past Islamabad United 2-1 Monday.

In two other matches PTV and Rovers remained locked 1-1 while Quaid-i-Azam and Akbar Clubs tie ended in a 2-2 draw.

CDA owed victory to Asad and Arshad who struck in the first half.

Islamabad United put in one on the 53rd through Shariq but their best efforts to pull level.

The match between Rovers and PTV was goalless in the first half before Jameel put Rovers ahead only for PTV’s Rasheed to equalise late in the game.

Rafi and Munir were the scorers for Quaid-i-Azam in their drawn game against Akbar for whom Majeed netted a brace.
