MIRPURKHAS: People face hardships due to power failure

MIRPURKHAS, Feb 4: Power failure hit the sub-division Mirpurkhas city as a result of which citizens faced hardships on Sunday.

Businesses were affected due to the power failure.

BREACH: A 35-ft-wide breach developed in the Mithrao canal, near the Shadi Palli railway station, on Sunday.

The SDO, Sindhri sub-division, Ghulam Mustafa

Ujjan, along with a team went there to have the breach plugged. After several hours, it was plugged.

Pir Ayub Jan Sarhandi, member provincial advisory committee of the governor Sindh for irrigation, has demanded of the authorities concerned to order an inquiry regarding the breach.

INJURED: A youth, Ali Asghar, was seriously injured when a tractor hit him near Degan Bhurgari on Sunday.

He was taken to the Civil Hospital, Mirpurkhas. From there he was sent to the LMU Hyderabad as his condition was critical.
