KARACHI: Rape cases’ probe

KARACHI, Feb 4: A non-governmental organization that provides relief to the rape victims has said the time limit of 15 days fixed for police to submit a chalan be extended to at least one month.

Amanullah, a representative of the NGO, War Against Rape (WAR), on Monday said investigating a crime, particularly those involving women, like rape, assault, domestic violence etc., usually took a long time.

He said police officials usually were assigned to investigate more than one incidents/crimes at a time, so it becomes difficult for them to complete proper investigation and submit reports.
