KARACHI, Feb 3: Sindh health secretary Khalid Latif Chaudhry has expressed concern over the declining number of male medical students in the province. He was speaking at the award distribution ceremony of the graduating MBBS students at Sindh Medical College here on Saturday. He said the share of female medical students in all the medical colleges of Sindh had increased to 75 per cent while male students were estimated at 25 per cent only. Mr Chaudhry said the ratio of female students was also rising in other professional colleges. He urged the boys to come forward and get involved in the educational activities. He advised the parents to take notice of this declining trend and ensure that their children, especially boys do not waste time in other activities and concentrate on education.—APP
