KARACHI, Feb 1: Pakistan will hold a single country trade exhibition in Tripoli in June this year. The fair is aimed at capturing Libyan market.
According to information reaching here from Libya on Friday, the decision was taken during a meeting between the visiting chairman Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Tariq Ikram and Libyan Foreign Minister Abdurrahman Mohammed Shalqm at Tripoli.
The Libyan foreign minister assured the EPB Chairman that the President of Libya Colonel Muammer Al-Qaddafi had a desire to expand the current level of relationship in political, scientific, cultural and economic fields with Pakistan.
Both of them discussed all possible areas, strategies and ideas for enhancement of bilateral cooperation.
Shalqm proposed the holding of a special country specific exhibition in Libya to introduce Pakistani products in the Libyan market.
Ikram also held a meeting with the Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister (Cooperation) Saad Mustafa Mujber to discuss the current level of trade.—APP
