KARACHI: New police chief for city

KARACHI, Jan 30: Asad Jehangir Khan, awaiting posting, has been posted as AIGP/ Capital City Officer, Karachi.

Asad Ashraf Malik, Commissioner SESSI, Karachi, has been transferred and posted as AIGP Sindh, vice Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui.

Meanwhile, the Sindh government has re-designated various police posts to restructure the Capital City Police, Karachi.

The DIGP Karachi Range has been redesignated as DIGP Operation Karachi, SSP West as ADIGP Investigation; SSP Crime Branch as SSP Crime against Property-I, SSP East as SSP Crime against Property -II.

The post of SSP Central has been redesignated as SSP Homicide; SSP South as SSP Anti-Terrorism; ADIGP-I Karachi as ADIGP Operation Karachi.

SP Traffic Central has been redesignated as ADIGP Legal; SP Range Reserve as ADIGP Finance and Welfare; SP Traffic Malir as ADIGP T&T; SP Traffic South as ADIGP Establishment; SP HQ South as SP HQ Garden; SP HQ Central as SP HQ Khawaja Ajmer Nagri; SP HQ East as SP HQ Hasan Square; SP HQ West as SP HQ Naval Colony Saeedabad; SP HQ Malir as SP HQ Malir; SP Security as SP Security Karachi; ADIGP Traffic & Highways Sindh as SSP Traffic Zone-I and SP Traffic East as SSP Traffic Zone-II.—APP
