Waste water treatment plant

KARACHI, Jan 30: Sindh Governor Mohammadmian Soomro on Tuesday lauded the efforts of the BASF Pakistan management for installing a biological waste water treatment plant that would substantially save factory consumption.

The Governor inaugurated the biological waste water treatment plant of the BASF Pakistan at its factory in Landhi. He appreciated the company’s effort to environmental protection and community care by saving on water consumption.

Dr. W. Burgert, President, BASF Regional Headquarters at Singapore, who had flown into Karachi for the occasion, said that his company gave top priority to safety and health issues.

Qazi Sajid Ali, Managing Director, BASF Pakistan, said that the biological water treatment plant had a capacity of treating 44,000 gallons of water per day.
