HYDERABAD, Jan 29: The residents of Khaiber and leaders of various associations have accused DSP Shah Nawaz Memon of patronizing the criminals of the area.

In a joint statement issued here on Tuesday, councillor Rahim Bux, Rajab Ali Khaiber, Qadir Bux, Muniruddin, alias Munshi, Noor Mohammad Sehto and others alleged that the DSP, with a Wadera, was holding wine and dance parties almost daily. They said that the contraband liquor was being sold openly and the gambling dens were flourishing under the patronage of the DSP.

They said that they had already informed the DIG and SSP, Hyderabad, about the activities of the DSP.

They warned that if no action was taken against the DSP, the workers of various political parties and social welfare organizations would stage protest demonstrations and hunger strikes.
