Seminars on GSP in March


KARACHI, Jan 25: The SAARC Secretariat and European Commission in joint collaboration with the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) will organize two seminars on the “EU-GSP Scheme” in Karachi and Lahore in March.

Mike Humphrey and Ms. Fiona, two experts nominated by the European Commission to hold preliminary discussions on the proposed seminars, held a meeting with FPCCI members on Thursday, according to a Federation’s press release.

The seminar in Karachi will be held on March 6.

Mike Humphrey informed the meeting that 11 seminars will be organized in six countries of the SAARC, except Bhutan.

In addition to the two seminars to be held in Pakistan, three similar seminars will be held in India and one each in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
