KARACHI, Jan 18: Four vessels carrying over 2,000 containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Three others including Fuji Hoshi, with 13,500 tons of palm oil, whose arrivals were delayed are also due along with them.
Meanwhile, berth occupancy at the dry wharves and the oil piers was maintained at 67 per cent and 64 per cent respectively.
Four ships, Gillian, Safe Marine Wai and Dubai to unload and load containers, F.T. East Bell-600 to unload fish and Themera to load molasses were berthed after the sailing of three.
The ships, which sailed out included Trade Fast, Leixoes and Pinta, while Leyi, Dubai and A.P. Merit are due to depart on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher where a total tonnage of 93,150 tons comprising 12,855 tons of export cargo including 866 tons of rice and 80,295 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Starlight River, Bunga Massatu, Hyundai Stride and Sagar, all with containers.
KARACHI, Jan 18: Two ships scheduled to offload containers and furnace oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Fotco Terminal during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Friday.
Meanwhile, two more ships carrying edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.
Six ships, Global-1, Titanas, Liberty Sea, Francisca Schulte, Arrow and Minnoble were engaged to offload edible oil, coal, containers, furnace oil and iron ore respectively.
Some 58,335 tons cargo, exclusively import, in addition to 604 containers (Teus), was handled.

Two ships, Freja Scandic and Global Juno with edible oil were at the outer anchorage and Freja Scandic was expected to take berth at Marginal Wharf on Friday.
Global-1 sailed on Friday morning. ST. Mechaelis scheduled to load crude oil was due to arrive.
