NBP, Doha and Union banks PLS rates
KARACHI, Jan 17: National Bank of Pakistan has declared 4.10 per cent profit on Saving Accounts for the period July to December 2001.
On Special notice deposits the NBP has announced 4 per cent on 7 to 29 days notice and 5 per cent on over 30 days notice period.
It has declared 6.50 per cent on three months deposit, 7.50 per cent on six months, 8 per cent on one year, 8.50 per cent on two years, 9 per cent on three years, 9.20 per cent on four years and 9.50 per cent on five years and above.
Doha Bank has announced 8 per cent annual return on PLS Saving account for the half year ending December 31, 2001. It has declared 9 per cent on one month PLS term deposit, 9.50 per cent on three months, 10.5 per cent on 6 months, 11.5 per cent on one year and 12.5 per cent on five years.
On 7 to 29 days notice deposits Doha Bank has offered 6 per cent.
Union Bank has declared 0.25 per cent annual return on PLS savings of deposits up to Rs50,000 for a half year period ending December 31, 2001. It has announced 5 per cent on saving deposits of over Rs50,000 but less than Rs100,000, 8 per cent on over Rs100,000 but less than Rs500,000, 9 per cent on over Rs500,000 but less than Rs5 million, 9.25 per cent on over Rs5 million but less than Rs10 million, 9.75 per cent on more than Rs10 million but less than Rs50 million and 10.50 per cent on Rs50 million and above.
It has offered 4 per cent on 7 to 29 days notice deposits and 5 per cent on 30 days and above period notice deposits.
The Union Bank has declared 6 per cent on one month term deposit, 7.50 per cent on three months, 8 per cent on 6 months, 8.50 per cent on one year, 9 per cent on two years, 9.50 per cent on three years and 10.50 per cent on five years.
The banks has also announced rates of return on Munafa Max and Mahana income of various deposits for periods ranging from three months to five years.
