KARACHI: Cardiac centre

KARACHI, Jan 15: Sindh health minister Maj-Gen Ahsan Ahmad on Tuesday emphasized the need for integrated efforts by the government and philanthropists to serve the ailing humanity.

He stated this during his visit to the cardiac emergency centre at the Sindh Govt Hospital Liaquatabad on Tuesday.

The centre has been set up with the cooperation of private and public sectors.

He said that the health department in order to make the centre functional had earmarked Rs1 million as special grant for purchasing necessary equipment.

The minister said that besides doctors a common person can also play a crucial role in saving life of a patient standing on the verge of death.—PPI
