NEW DELHI, Jan 15: A “dead” man shocked relatives and doctors in Lucknow when he suddenly came alive just minutes before he was to be taken for cremation.

Sukhlal Gautam, 55, was admitted to a government hospital suffering from tuberculosis on Dec 29 last year but declared dead and shifted to a mortuary 14 days later. “We soon started making arrangements for the funeral,” Gautam’s son, Guddu.

“(But) when we brought the body out from the mortuary and started to load it onto the vehicle, my father gasped for breath.”

According to the report, he spent eight hours lying in the mortuary as a “dead” man before his revival.—AFP
