Haj training begins

LAHORE, Jan 11: The Auqaf Department secretary, Syed Shafiq Husain Bukhari, inaugurated on Friday the first training session for Haj pilgrims at Quran Academy, Gulberg.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bukhari said the pilgrims are the guests of Allah and his Prophet (peace be upon him). Auqaf Department employees’ association president Qazi Muhammad Zaman Khan Abbasi stressed the significance of training. The religious affairs director, Dr Syed Tahir Raza Bukhari, warned the pilgrims against drug peddlers who might try to use some of them as carriers. — APP
