Five players selected for training

LAHORE, Jan 9: Five players and one coach have been selected to undergo one-week training in the Baseball Federation of Asia Coaching and Training Centre Bangkok, Thailand to be held from Jan 20 to 26.

Among the players four pitchers and one batter is included.

The Pakistan Baseball Federation secretary Syed Khawar Shah said that all the pitchers had showed around 90 miles per hours speed and after the training it could be increased to 95 to 99. He said that Pakistan needed two or three fastest pitchers to make a strong team for the next Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan in 2003.

Col Shujaat as coach, Saleem Haider, Muhammad Rafique, Syed Fayyaz Bukhari, Khan Waiz as pitchers and Hassan Babar Khan as batter are going for training on Jan 18.
