JUI wants APC on situation

MANSEHRA, Jan 7: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI), Mansehra, has criticized the extradition of former Afghan ambassador to Pakistan, Mulla Abdul Salam Zaeef.

The leaders of the JUI Mansehra, Maulana Hidayatullah Shah, Maulana Waqar-ul-Haq Usmani, Mufti Kafitullah, Qari Mohammad Afzal and Qazi Habibur Rehman, in a joint Press  statement, issued here on Monday, has criticized over the role of the Pakistan government claiming that President Pervez Musharraf and his cabinet were working on US agenda.

They said ex-Afghan ambassador was not involved in any terrorist activities either in the Pakistan or abroad, adding that it was against the law.

They warned the Indian government against launching any attack on Pakistan, saying it would be responded in the same terms.

They called upon the government to immediately convene an all parties conference to debate and chalk out a strategy to face any eventuality of an attack on the country.

They also demanded release of all leaders  to show national unity.
