Youth shot dead

GILGIT, Jan 7: A man, Akram, 22, s/o Shad Ali, resident of Oshikhandas, was gunned down by two unknown assailants on Sunday, 20Km south of Gilgit.

Police sources said that Akram was on his way home after closing his shop when two persons stopped him, opened fire on him and fled. Two bullets hit his head and one his belly.

He died on his way to hospital in Oshikhandas and doctors at Gilgit DHQ Hospital carried out his autopsy. The motives behind the murder could not be ascertained. Police have lodged an FIR against the unknown killers and started investigations.
