Girl kidnapped

DADU, Jan 7: Eight armed persons, including three women, kidnapped a girl and looted gold ornaments and other valuables when they barged into the house of Mohammed Saleh Sodhar in Telegraph Colony, Kotri, on Monday.

The police registered an FIR against Naveed Solangi, Manzoor, Dhani Bux, Wazir, Rukhsana, Seema and Beena.

KILLED: A woman, Hawa, 40, wife of Suleman, was axed to death by eight persons of her clan over an old enmity in village Shah Owais Qarni near Manjhand town on Monday.

GAMBLERS ARRESTED: Johi Taluka police raided a gambling den near the irrigation bungalow in Johi town and arrested eight gamblers.

They were identified as Hakim, Sain Rakhio, Noor Muhammad, Qadeer, Ghulam Shabbir, Ali Haider, Ghulam Haider and Majeed.

The police also recovered hundreds of rupees and playing cards from their possession.

LOOTED: Five outlaws hijacked Dadu-bound Al-Shahbaz coach (No 92268) near Sehwan town, looted thousands of rupees, gold ornaments and other valuables from the passengers.
