50pc staff of Pakistan, India HCs back home


ISLAMABAD, Jan 5: Fifty per cent staff members of the Pakistan High Commission in India and Indian High Commission in Pakistan returned to their respective countries on Saturday evening.

A chartered PIA flight which reached New Delhi in the morning flew back 55 officials of the Pakistan High Commission in India. Similarly, 55 officials of the Indian High Commission left Pakistan in the evening from Islamabad airport by a special plane sent by New Delhi to carry them back.

The 55 staff members, as asked by the Indian government, left Pakistan with their families. The senior officials of the Pakistan High Commission saw Pakistani officials off at the Indra Gandhi International Airport.—APP
