11 injured in clash over matrimonial dispute

DADU, Jan 5: Eleven persons were injured, three seriously, in a clash between two groups of Mirani caste over a matrimonial dispute in Radhan town, some 85km away from here on Saturday.

Guns, axes, clubs and iron rods were used in the clash as a result Mohammad Waris, his wife, Begum, Raja, Pir Bukhsh, Mushtaque, Abdul Ghafoor, Sajjad, Mohammad, Ghulzar, Rajab and Latif sustained injuries.

Raja, Waris, and Begum were admitted to a local hospital where their condition was said to be critical.

Thareri Mohabbat police registered an FIR against eight persons.

ACCIDENT: A head constable of Khairpur Nathan Shah police station, Mohammad Juman Abro, was crushed to death under the wheels of a Mehar bound truck (GLT-7168) on Khairpur Nathan Shah-Mehar road on Saturday when he was crossing the road.

Khairpur Nathan Shah police arrested the driver, Syed Barkat Shah, and impounded the truck.

ROBBERY: Two motorcycles were hijacked by unidentified persons here on Saturday.

The motorcycle of an FIU Dadu official, Mohammad Munsha Arain, was hijacked by unidentified persons.

Dadu town police registered a case against unidentified persons.

The other motorcycle belonging to Sirajuddin Charan was also hijacked by some unidentified persons in Surhio Mohalla, here.
