HYDERABAD, Jan 5: The University of Sindh, Jamshoro, here on Saturday has announced the first merit list of the candidates selected provisionally in different disciplines of the bachelors degree programme, 2002.

The director admissions, Mohammed Saleh Rajar, in a press statement said that the lists of candidates selected in the quota oriented and general disciplines within the jurisdiction of the university and upper Sindh and female seats had been displayed on the university notice board.

The director has also notified the list of the candidates selected on top ten commerce group admitted in BBA (Hons) part-I and seats reserved for the employees of the colleges affiliated with the Sindh University.

The merit lists of the selected candidates have also been displayed on the notice board of the Sindh University model school, Elsa Kazi campus (old campus), Hyderabad.

The candidates can also check their names at the website of the university, www.usindh.edu.pk.

The last date for filing objections against any admission has been fixed at Jan 08.

The final merit list would be announced on Jan 9, while the candidates would pay their admissions fees with effect from Jan 10 to Jan 15.

EXAMINATIONS: The on-going examinations of first semester in all the departments of the University of Sindh were held in a peaceful manner here on Saturday.

Strict measures were adopted by the university authorities at all the 16 examination blocks at the campus.

The deans of the faculties and the senior professors of the concerned departments checked the admit cards of the students at the main entrance of the examination centres.

The vice chancellor, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, visited the examination centres and checked the arrangements for the on-going semester examinations.
