Man falls victim to enmity
OKARA, Jan 2: A man was shot dead by brothers of a woman in revenge of her murder in Chak 15/IR, here on Tuesday.
According to details, Muhammad Abbas’ sister Safia was murdered sometimes back and a case was registered against Khalid Nawaz and his accomplices. However, Nawaz was acquitted as no proof was traced against him.
On Tuesday, Nawaz was sitting with his brother Muhammad Akram and cousin Zakir when Abbas, along with his brothers Ishaq, Ikram, Mustafa, Zaman and Qayyum, opened fire on them, killing Akram instantly. Main accused Khalid Nawaz escaped.
KILLED: A man was crushed to death by a speeding bus on the Okara-Deepalpur Road on Wednesday.
Muhammad Haji of Bahawalnagar district was on his way to relative’s house when the truck (RIM-3132) knocked him down near Chak 38/D. He died instantly.
