Four RAW agents arrested, says SSP

By Our Correspondent

SANGHAR, Jan 2: Four RAW agents have been arrested with a large quantity of material, which is used with explosives.

This was disclosed by the SSP, Sanghar, Shahid Hanif, on Wednesday at a press conference held at Tando Adam police station.

Those arrested were identified as Abdul Ghani, Chetan Bajeer, M. Saleh, and Ali Nawaz.

The SSP said that they were trained in India by the RAW.

He further said that Chetan Bajeer was the ring leader who used to recruit for RAW in Sindh.

The SSP said that they were involved in a failed attempt to derail a passenger train between Tando Adam and Nawabshah a few days ago in which an oil tanker was damaged due to the bomb blast.

The accused were presented before newsmen at the Tando Adam police station.

They confessed that they were involved in sabotage activities in Sindh for which they were hired by the RAW.

PROTEST: The relatives of Shahnawaz Jalalani, who had died due to the negligence of the Jhol police, protested in front of the press club on Wednesday.

They demanded registration of an FIR against the SHO, Jhol, and his subordinate staff who had taken the sick man to the police station without an FIR or any other case against him.

They went to the SSP, Sanghar, Shahid Hanif, who ordered an enquiry into the incident.

The villagers have also sent applications to the president, governor, IGP Sindh, and other senior officials.

The brother-in-law of Shahnawaz, Zahid Ali Jalalani, who was also arrested with him, told newsmen that the police were threatening them of dire consequences if they pursued the case.
