KARACHI, Jan 2: Preparation for emergency measures in the obtaining situation were discussed and decisions taken at a meeting of all the administrative secretaries and heads of the relevant departments held under the chairmanship of Sindh Local Government Minister, Dewan Mohammed Yousuf Farooqui, here on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the KPT, the Pakistan Railways, the PTCL, the SSGC, WAPDA/KESC and CAA from the Federal Government side.
The meeting discussed duties and responsibilities relating to each department and took decisions for emergency preparations. The meeting also reviewed the measures taken by various departments in this context.
It was decided to activate and further streamline the working of the Civil Defence Organization and to set up its control room in every district.— APP
