PO killed in ‘shootout’ with police

KASUR, Jan 1: A proclaimed offender was shot dead in a shootout with police in Chak 45, Sarai Mughal on Tuesday.

Led by an information, CIA staff police raided PO Shera’s dera where PO Muhammad Anwar alias Annu took refuge, report revealed. Seeing police, Anwar opened fire which was retaliated. He died instantly.

SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead by dacoits on putting up resistance near Kelon village, on the Duniapur Road on Tuesday.

Haji Muhammad, Muhammad Javed, their sister Raj bibi and other relatives were coming from Chah Walian village, Khudian, by two tractor-trollies. When they reached near Kelon village, six dacoits tried to loot them. They resorted to firing on resistance, leaving Javed dead.
