Protest against Hesco officials

KHAIRPUR, Dec 31: The residents of Khanpur Junejo village, Halani and Razidero protested against Hesco officials on Monday for demanding bribes for restoring their electricity which was disconnected several days ago.

The residents of Khanpur Junejo village said that there were only a few defaulters in the village while the officials concerned had disconnect the power supply to the entire village.

They demanded immediate restoration of the electricity.

The residents of Razidero took out a procession and raised slogans against Hesco officials.

They complained that some influential people of the area and policemen were getting electricity through kundas and there was every likelihood of accidents being caused as a result of this. They demanded that immediate action be taken against such people and the kundas be removed.

The residents of Halani continued their protest for the third consecutive day on Monday.

They said that the loadshedding was continuing since the last three months due to which the business of Halani town had been greatly affected.
