Jirga bans photography

By Our Correspondent

ORAKZAI AGENCY, Dec 31: A Jirga of Mamoonzai tribe here on Monday banned photography in its area and announced heavy penalties for anybody violating the ban.

The Jirga decided that apart from demolishing residences of the violators, they would be fined one million rupees and their cameras would be confiscated.

The Jirga was jointly arranged by Tehrik-i-Taliban, Tehrik-i- Ulema and notables of Mamoonzai tribes at Mamoonzai. The gathering expressed concern over the growing trend of photography in the area and unanimously decided to place a complete ban over it.

The gathering decided to keep a vigilant eye on any violation of the decision and deal with the violators strictly.
