KARACHI, Dec 31: S.H. Hashmi, Saifur Rehman Grami and Yavar Mehdi have been elected vice president, honorary secretary and treasurer, respectively, in the annual Arts Council elections.
According to the results, which were declared in the early hours of Monday, the panel led by Mr Hashmi notched up eight slots of the governing body. The remaining four seats were won by the other panel led by Haseeb Ahmed Khan.
Those who were elected governing body members were Rehana Mohammad Ali Shah, Mohammad Ayub, Huma Mir, Talat Hussain, Jawaid Saba, Arshad Mahmud, Syed Sajid Hasan, Shafi Mohammad Shah, Naqqash Kazimi, Ibrahim Nafees, Salma Beg and Qasim Jalali.
