Tyres worth Rs500,000 taken away

TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 30: Dacoits on late Saturday took away motor tyres worth Rs500,000 from a shop in Pirmahal.

The dacoits appeared in the shop at Ghousia Chowk, loaded tyres in a truck and drove away. They dragged the watchman with them and fled throwing him in the fields on the Pirmahal-Road near a textile mill.

Meanwhile, bandits deprive Sardar Mehram Gadhi of cash, wrist watch and a gold ring worth thousands of rupees near Rajjowal adda. They also drove away with his two-wheeler.
