ISLAMABAD, Dec 20: The National Accountability Bureau is all set to arrest Asif Ali Zardari in a new case involving the import of one BMW car in the name of a student.

Official sources told Dawn that Asif Zardari who has been granted bail in all pending cases, will not walk out of the jail as the government has decided to bring up another corruption case against him.

Mr Zardari, who is in jail since November 1996, was granted bail in the last case on last Saturday but he could not be released as the process of submission of sureties could not be completed due to Eid holidays.

He is at present lodged in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) which has been declared a sub-jail.

The new case in which Mr Zardari is likely to be arrested pertains to alleged import of BMW in the name of a student which caused a loss of Rs10 million in duty to national exchequer, during the PPP rule. Mr Zardari would be tried on the charges of impersonation and loss of revenue to the state.
