10 killed in Kashmir

NEW DELHI, Dec 16: A divisional commander and eight other members of the Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen were buried alive by an avalanche in occupied Kashmir on Saturday.

The United News of India said all nine were on a “special mission”’ when the incident took place.

Indian forces claimed killing a “foreign terrorist” during a search operation in Ganderbal on Sunday, the UNI added. An assault rifle and ammunition were found on the man.—dpa
