By Our Sports Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 12: A fine spell by left-arm spin bowling by Adnan Malik and Habib ur Rehman, helped Landhi Friends reach the final of the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan cricket tournament, beating Hamdam CC by six wickets Wednesday at the Aga Khan Gymkhana ground.

Having first use of the wicket, Hamdam CC despite given an ideal start through Asif Zakir (64) and Aga Sabir (35) were restricted to 166 for nine wickets in 25 overs.

Adnan Malik (4-34) and Habib ur Rehman (2-21) shared the bowling honours. The last seven wickets fell cheaply for only 28 runs with four of these batsmen dismissed for ducks.

Landhi Friends got off to a cautious start losing opener Alay Haider for 20 runs with 32 runs on the board.

However, Zahid Ali (32 n.o.) and Ashraf Ali (30 n.o.) steered their team to a six-wicket triumph with eight deliveries to spare as Landhi Friends reached the winning target at 172 for four.

Sami Faridi bagged two for 27.
