Bank staff deprived of Rs2.6m

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 11: Four dacoits looted Rs2.6 million and a car from the staff of a private bank near Khorian on the GT Road, about 40km away from here, on Tuesday.

The bank staff along with two guards was going to Gujranwala by a car after taking cash from a Muridke bank. Near Khori stop, four armed men deprived them of cash and the car.

Muridke Saddar police are investigating.

KIDNAPPED: A girl was kidnapped allegedly by four persons in Bhekhi village on Tuesday.

Shaukat and Arif along with two accomplices entered the house of Rashid and took away his daughter with them.

The motive behind the incident is stated to be an old enmity.

Police have registered a case.
