Two killed in Haripur

HARIPUR, Dec 7: Two people were killed in two different incidents in Haripur district here on Friday.

According to police Sher-ur-Rehman, son of Fazal-ur-Rehman, was ambushed by some unknown people in a nearby forest of village Kunairi Sirikot, some 15 kilometres from here.

The assailants attacked him with axes when he was on his way back to home after collecting firewood from the jungle, police said. The victim was taken to Ghazi hospital but he could not survive. The police have registered a case against the culprits and are investigating.

In the second incident, Sher Mohammad committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest with his 12 bore rifle, the family sources said. He was reportedly an abnormal person for the last several years.
