KARACHI, Dec 4: The Muttahida Quami Movement chief Altaf Hussain has urged the people to struggle for elimination of feudalism from the country.

He said the feudal elements, in order to fulfil their designs, had compromised the vital national interests.

Addressing from London on telephone to party workers and supporters in Karachi, he said the time was ripe to take prudent decisions about the future of politicians who were tried over and again but had failed to live up to the expectations of masses.

“These politicians were accorded respect and fame on the land of Shah Latif but ironically they worked against its interest” he said and urged the people to promote educated politicians instead of landlords.

Emphasised the need for a united Sindh, Altaf Hussain paid tributes to the prominent Sindhi scholar G.M Syed and for his services and sacrifices for the cause of Sindh.

MQM Chief said that he had received several invitations from the representatives of civil societies of India and now the caretakers of the shrines of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti and Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia had invited him, which, he said, was an honour for him.

He stated that the co-opts of certain intelligence agencies were raising a hue and cry over the issue of his visit to India terming it anti-state.

Mr Altaf warned that if the establishment began the operation, then “the MQM will bring this operation to its logical conclusion.—PPI
