ABBOTTABAD, Dec 1: Omar Asghar Khan,Federal Minister for Labour, Environment and Local Bodies has said that strict disciplinary action will be taken against those government employees who fail to cooperate with newly elected members of local bodies.

This he said while inaugurating the first CNG-computerised vehicles tuning centre at Abbottabad on Friday, which has been established jointly by the ministry of environment and UNDP.

The minister said 16 other such centres would be set up in the country—- 11 for petrol and CNG vehicles and five for diesel-run vehicles. He said a diesel testing computer laboratory would be shortly established at Abbottabad.

Mr Khan said that funds under Khushhal Pakistan Programme had been doubled, which would create job opportunities and also help boost the national economy. He asked elected members of the local bodies to work for early completion of projects, and stressed the need for greater involvement of the community in development activities.
