Admissions:agri varsity invites applications

FAISALABAD, Nov 26: The Directorate of Advanced Studies, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, has invited applications for admission to MA, MSc and MBA on self-finance basis for the session 2001-2002.

Prospectus for MA (economics and sociology) and MBA (executive) are available with the National Bank’s university branch, while for MSc (rural sociology, statistics, physics, zoology, botany, home economics and fibre technology) are available at the office of the Directorate of Advanced Studies.

The last date for receipt of applications is Dec 8. The list of the selected candidates will be displayed on Dec 10.

Dacoities: Dacoits made off with cash, gold ornaments, a truck, a car and a motorcycle besides injuring a boy in separate incidents here during the last 24 hours.

Three masked robbers injured a motorcyclist, Ali Raza, on resistance in Nazimabad. The injured was taken to hospital.

Two dacoits looted cash and jewellery from a couple on the Faisalabad-Jhang Road.

Highwaymen snatched a truck from its driver, Amir Ali, in Chak 81-GB in the Saddar police area.

Three armed men deprived Afzal of his car in Chak 195-GB.

Two highwaymen snatched a motorcycle from a student, Asim, in Jinnah Colony.

A gang of masked cattle-lifters took away 12 buffaloes from Chak 51-JB, Nishatabad.
