Case against three cops

KHAIRPUR, Nov 24: Anti-corruption police Khairpur have registered a case against four persons — three cops and one Tapedar — here on Saturday.

The accused included HC Allah Rakhayo Narejo, PC Muhammad Sharif, PC Ifthakhar Hussain and Shamisuddin.

The police have alleged that the three cops received Rs5,000, a gold chain and a ring in illegal graft from Shahnawaz to set him free.

The FIR accuses Tapedar Shamisuddin of taking Rs70,000 from Mukhtiar Hussain for changing death register.

TAXI DRIVERS: Taxi drivers of different towns of Khairpur district including Hinghorja, Thari Mirwah, Pir Wassan, Lakha Road, and Meharabpur, continued their agitation on second consecutive day here on Saturday against the killing of a taxi driver Manzoor Khaskheli.

According to the protesters, four days ago, the taxi of Manzoor Khaskheli was hired from Mehrabpur by four armed men.

On knowing their motives, when Khaskheli tried to put up resistance, the armed men shot him dead and threw his body in a jungle.

They took away his taxi.—Correspondent
