KARACHI: Ten more vehicles hijacked

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 24: Ten vehicles — five cars and an equal number of motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Saturday, a spokesman for the Central Police Office said.

One car was hijacked in Gizri. Four others were stolen in Arambagh, Ferozabad, and Artillery Maidan.

The motorcycles were stolen in Arambagh, Preedy, Al-Falah and Buffer Zone.

The police also claimed on Saturday to have recovered four stolen cars and four motorcycles in the city.

ROBBERIES: Three robberies were committed in the city on Saturday, the police said.

Four bandits entered the house of Syed Saeed Shah in Nazimabad, held the family as hostage at gunpoint, collected cash, gold jewellery and other valuables.

As some of the family members put up resistance to the bandits, they beat them with the butts of their guns and fled with the loot. The family said that the bandits also looted the dowry and jewellery bought for the marriage of a girl of the family.

Five bandits barged into Khalid Siddiqui’s house in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, held the family as hostage at gunpoint, collected cash, gold jewellery and other valuables and escaped.

Waseem Ahmed lodged a report at Mominabad police station that bandits entered his house and got away with cash and gold jewellery.
