KGA triumph

KARACHI, Nov 17: KGA Gymkhana registered a comfortable 91-run victory over Rangers Gymkhana in the opening match of the Danish cricket tournament Saturday at the KGA ground.

Batting first KGA struggled against the fine bowling and fielding of Rangers Gymkhana to reach 166 for nine wickets in the 20 allotted overs.

Hilary Rodrigues top scored for his side with a quick knock of 30 runs. Calvin Gonsalves weighed in with 29 n.o. Saeed Ahmed 3 for 22 and Nayyar 3for 35 shared the bowling honours for the visitors.

Rangers Gymkhana were bowled out for 75 runs in 14 overs.

Sixteen-year-old Roland D’Souza bowling a hostile spell with the new ball grabbed 4/22. He was ably assisted by Hilary Rodrigues 3/13 and Andre Bernard 2/18.
