Refresher coaching courses
ISLAMABAD, Nov 17: The Pakistan Sports Board plans to organise short term refresher coaching courses is as many as six major cities.
About 200 men and women coaches/physical education teachers will be taught new scientific training and coaching methods during the courses.
The participants will undergo rigorous theoretical and practical training following which evaluation tests will be conducted.
The course participants attaining 70 percent marks would be awarded certificates by the PSB.
The following is the schedule of courses:
1. Athletics, basketball, table tennis, volleyball at NSTCC Peshawar in fourth week of December (duration five days).
2. Athletics, badminton, volleyball at NSTCC Karachi in second week of January 2002 (five days).
3. Athletics, handball, wrestling at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in fourth week of January (five days).
4. Athletics, football, hockey at NSTCC, Quetta in fourth week of February (five days).
5. Athletics, tennis, volleyball at PSB, Islamabad in fourth week of February (five days).
6. Athletics, table tennis, wrestling at NSTCC, Lahore in second week of March.
