Woman killed in LoC firing

SRINAGAR, Nov 13: A Muslim woman was killed and another three were wounded on Tuesday when Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged fire across the Line of Control, an Indian defence spokesman said.

Separately, two people were killed when a bomb exploded at Gool, 66km east of Jammu, while three freedom fighters were killed in a shootout in the Doda district, police said.

“Pakistani troops fired mortars and small arms across the Line of Control in Tangdhar sector,” the spokesman told Reuters.

“One woman was killed and three others were injured in the firing.” “Our troops retaliated and fired on Pakistani military positions,” the spokesman added.—Reuters
