MINGORA, Nov 12: A protest demonstration was staged in the Puran tehsil of Shangla district here on Monday to condemn the killing of innocent civilians in the US bombing on Afghanistan, and asked for immediate halt to the operation.

The speakers, former provincial minister Pir Mohammad Khan, Nisar Ahmad advocate, Bakht Karam, Maulvi Rasheed Ahmad, Sultan Ahmad, Jamshaid and others also held the government equally responsible for thee death of the innocent citizens.

They asked the government to change its Afghan policy and not to become a partner of the anti-Islamic forces, saying they were ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of Islam.

KILLED: A shopkeeper was killed in his shop in the Bagh mohalla of Shahdara area here on Monday. Fazal Ghani reported to police that his son Usman Ghani was shot dead in his shop by unidentified assailants.
