Okara ground inaugurated

OKARA, Nov 11: The Cricket Coaching Academy (CCA) and cricket ground was inaugurated by chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Lt Gen Tauqir Zia Sunday.

The ground and academy has been established at the cost of Rs2.3million with the main pavilion constructed at Rs1.5million.

The ground is equipped with eight pitches with four to be used for matches while the rest restricted to practice. In addition to this, the PCB has provided two rollers, a grass cutting machine, two sight screens and a pitch over.

The entire exercise is in lieu to PCB’s development policy aimed at improving, uplifting, developing and increase playing fields in this cricket man country.

Although the entire funding for the ground has been done by the PCB, the development work was supervized by Lahore Division Cricket Association (LDCA) president Mian Mohammad Munir who was also a former Pakistan team manager.
