New portfolio of SBP DGs

KARACHI, Nov 9: After the induction of a new deputy governor Tawfiq A. Husain in the State Bank some changes have been made in the portfolios of the two deputy governors.

According to an office order of the State Bank the following departments would report through their respective executive directors to Deputy Governor Tawfiq A. Husain:

(i) Exchange Policy Department (ii) Exchange & Debt Management Department (iii) Foreign Exchange Adjudication Department (iv) Banking Supervision Department (v) Banking Inspection Department-I and (vi) Banking Inspection Department-II.

The following departments would report through their executive directors/advisors to Deputy Governor R. A. Chughtai:

(i) Human Resource Department (ii) Administration Department (iii) Training Department (iv) Legal Services Department (v) Corporate & Mediate Affairs Department (vi) Medical Services Department (vii) Engineering Department (viii) Internal Bank Security Department (ix) Information Systems Department (x) Project Management Office and (xi) Accounts Department.

The following departments would continue to report to Economic Advisor Dr. Abdul Naseer (i) International Economic Research Department (ii) Monetary & Fiscal Research Department (iii) Statistics Department and (iv) Agricultural Credit Department.

General Economic Research Department would continue to report to Economic Advisor Dr Mushtaq A. Khan.
